Pyre:Numen - Nocturnal Sylvan Nostalgia (full album, 2023)

For my final feature of this week’s Dungeon Synth Sunday, I return us to the cold, earthen essence of the genre, and the blackened atmospheres of cultural heritage antiquarian Martin Locker. His latest release as PYRE:NUMEN dredges his archaeological tapestries of entropic incantations with the caustic howlings and plaintive noctuary tremolos of black metal. From deep within the Pyreneean soils and mountain ranges Nocturnal Sylvan Nostalgia is drawn; a conduit from subterranean to the inky night sky, streaked with the trails of star drone and vapor.
