Ulster Reel 1. (1950-1959)

A British Travel Assoc. Film Produced by British Pathe. Commentary by Viscount Bangor. Ships moving in Belfast docks. WS countryside and city. Parliament building (?) shots. Racing cars drive through city for the Ulster T.T. races. The cars arrive at the race track and are prepared for the race, in the packed stands a man holds out a Union Jack flag to start the race. Stirling Moss gets into his Jaguar and pulls away. It is a running start. As the race progresses through the countryside we see Reg Parnell driving an Aston Martin. A lot of pit stop activity with Peter Collins driving an Aston Martin 2nd to Moss. Moss breaks down and at the end of the race he is seen congratulating Collins who won. A saloon car drives through the mountainous Ulster country side at a sedate speed. Countryside scenics, ploughing by horse etc., and distant shot of Armagh.
