RCM Wind Ensemble: Strauss & Joachim Raff

The RCM Wind Ensemble performs Strauss’s Serenade for wind instruments. An early success for the 17-year-old composer the Serenade is one of the masterpieces of the Wind Ensemble repertoire. The concert finishes with Raff’s delightful, Sinfonietta, a work full of Mendelssohnian charm and energy. Recorded live in the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall on Friday 16 April at the Royal College of Music in London, this is an on-demand broadcast event.
