Horowitz plays Liszt Consolation No.4 in D-flat

Carnegie Hall, 24 April 1950 ~~~ Between 1945 and 1950, Horowitz played 13 Carnegie Hall recitals that were recorded on 78rpm records for his private use. The recordings were kept by Horowitz till 1987 when they were donated to Yale University. 3 years after Horowitz’s death in 1992, recordings were reviewed and transferred to tape and later released with the permission of Wanda Horowitz. ~
