Marple Aqueduct and Canal Walk, English Countryside 4K

۞ All support is hugely appreciated and it helps me keep the channel going! No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A pleasant stroll along the Peak Forest Canal. The Marple Aqueduct is situated in Marple, a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. Built in the late 18th century as part of the Peak Forest Canal, it was designed by engineer Benjamin Outram and completed in 1800. The aqueduct carries the canal over the River Goyt and the railway. We begin the walk at the top of the Marple Lock Flight, also known as the “Sixteen,“ consisting of 16 locks that raise the canal significantly. This flight is a notable feature of the canal, adding to the historic and industrial character of the area. A beautiful autumn walk! Do enjoy. :) My 188th of hopefully many YouTube Walks.
