Mikha Dadok | མི་ཁ་དགྲ་ཟློག | Powerful Guru Rinpoche Prayer to ward-off Misfortunes | subtitle: Eng
Prayer to ward-off misfortunes derived by people talking behind you for all the good and bad reasons. It is believed that when many people talk about you either in front of you or behind you for something good or bad happened or going to happen to you has a tendency to bring misfortunes.
Every religion is based on believes and so does in one of the stories from the Buddhist text, there used to be a beautiful natural rock formed outside of someone’s house, people who visited the family always said good things about the beauty of this natural rock, and after some times, one day the rock cracked in two, it is said that misfortunes brought by people’s gossip is even too heavy for the rock to shoulder. When something good happens, sometimes some misfortunes follows, we see this with many well known and wealthy people so often, maybe perhaps they are constantly in public’s eyes and talks. This prayer is to ward off such misfortunes. Maybe perhaps this is the reason that our ancestors advised us not to be excessively happy when something good happens, but just be happy from within.
In this prayer, Guru Rinpoche converse with Mikha - a formless demon formed out of public gossip to go very far away to nowhere land by showing the ways and never to return at least for 360 days.
