Chatty Cathy was produced by Mattel from 1959 to 1965, and spoke eleven phrases, such as “I love you“ and “Please take me with you,“ when the “chatty ring“ was pulled. Seven more phrases were added to the doll’s repertoire in 1963. She was the second most popular doll during the 60s behind her sister Barbie!
