E11 LEXICON - STEVE’S HUGE WHIPPER

Here it is, one of the biggest trad whippers you’re ever likely to see, taken from our film ’Lexicon E11’. We were actually packing up and was about to head down. We’d gone back up to Pavey Ark to get some cutaways for Neil’s first ascent which was already in the can, it’d been a day. We just nipped along the gully to have a natter with Dave Mac as the light turned a little dusky. But what was this?... Looks like Steve is getting on the lead, holy s**t, better get the camera out. Dave set his camera up on a wide lens setting, you could not conceive that the climber might fall out of that frame..... this is about as close as it gets. Of course after this we raced back up to the top of the route to capture some of that special energy that was in the air.
