Johanne Saint-Charles - Complex Structures for Complex Problems (NetGloW 2014)

The research of Johanne Saint-Charles (University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada) is devoted to cross-cultural and global comparison of “transdisciplinary groups“, that are diverse groups of individuals regulary face-to-face interacting or communicating through various media around complex social issues. Starting from the idea that a combined study of social and sociosemantic networks can help study transdisciplinary groups, Saint-Charles applied longitudinal data from few of these groups to face theoretical and methodological problems in such studies, especially within the analysis of processes, mechanisms and meanings.
