Peter Herbolzheimer R C and B - Wild Chick (1974)

This is a live studio outtake from a standards session that involved Ella Fitzgerald. However, in the midst of all this they cut this groovy number! This isn’t as good to my ears as the version on the Wait A Minute LP from 1973 featuring Sigi Schwab but its gold dust all the same... The version here has Dieter Reith on Hammond, Philip Catherine on Sitar, Art Farmer on Trumpet, Ack Van Rooyen on Trumpet... probably the usual Herbolzheimer regulars too... (maybe the 1974 Live at Ronnie Scotts band).
