Crews of self-propelled artillery units Gyacinth-S performing fire missions

Crews of self-propelled artillery units Gyacinth-S performing fire missions Artillery units of the West group of troops, around the clock, deliver precision strikes on exposed military targets, positions, fortifications, armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction of a special military operation. The speed of combat work is achieved due to the coordination of crews. In this direction, the crews of large-caliber self-propelled artillery mounts 2S5 Gyacinth-S work as a single mechanism. They are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 30 kilometres. On a tracked chassis they have light armour protection and are highly maneuverable. They can fire directly or from closed positions, as in this case. With a minimum number of shots, fighters successfully suppress militants’ firing points, accumulations of their equipment, fortified areas, strongholds, and ammunition depots. Artillerymen receive coordinates from reconnaissance aircraft and UAV crews, immediately leave cover and arrive at positions to open fire on the enemy. One of the crews has destroyed self-propelled guns Krab with a caliber of 155 millimetres. After live firing, the artillerymen changed firing positions to spare ones to replenish the ammunition and prevent return fire from the enemy. Combat missions are carried out in any weather. Self-propelled guns are constantly on the move. The tactics of a 24-hour artillery carousel disorient the enemy, force him to waste ammunition, and declassify the positions of his camouflaged firing points. And most importantly, it saves the lives of Russian military personnel.  Join Military Wave Источник: Military Wave
