4R44E Transmission Teardown Inspection - Transmission Repair

Here we see a teardown of a 4R44E transmission of a Mazda B3000 3.0 V6. This unit is also on the Ford Ranger and Ford Explorer. Although the unit changes in name, they’re virtually the same unit as I explain in the video. 4R44E has 4 pinion planets on the front and rear. 4R55E and 5R55E have 6 pinion planets. 5R55E has an added speed sensor and reluctor on the output shaft for an added signal for the computer to make a 5th gear.
