Spanish band Ska-P and audience chant ‘Freedom for Palestina’ during Munich concert

Spanish band Ska-P, who performed in Munich on Saturday, chanted “Freedom for Palestina” during their concert and their audience joined in the chants. Prior to the concert, various Jewish groups had called for the performance to be cancelled, accusing Ska-P of being antisemitic over lyrics stating that “the victims have become the executioners” in their song “Intifada”, which heavily criticises Israel’s occupation of Palestine. The band responded on social media to the boycott calls, denying that they were antisemitic and adding that “being anti-Zionist is not being antisemitic”. Festival organisers refused to cancel the band’s show, saying that “Intifada” was not on the band’s set list and that it supported “freedom of expression and freedom of art within a democratic framework.” Subscribe to our channel: Middle East Eye Website: Follow us on TikTok: @middleeasteye Follow us on Instagram: Like us on Facebook: Follow us on Twitter:
