Flying Heroes original trailer

It was the first full 3D game by Pterodon. We have started developing this game in late 1998 to finish it in early 2000. Originally it was supposed to be an epic open world game of flying traders and bandits inspired by Pirates! and Elite. During the concept phase we switched the vision of the game only to very limited flying gladiator tournament aspect. The main reason was to encapsulate the project into a reasonable scope, that we can actually produce. The main focus was the competetive gameplay against AI bots and human opponents on LAN and internet. The game was developed on Ptero-Engine, that was later reworked and used for Vietcong.
