Ettore Tito, The Venetian Painter of Everyday Life

Ettore Tito showed great talent very early and was encouraged to pursue his life’s mission, at the age of 12 he was accepted into the Art program at the Academie. Tito had many art friends, among them John Sargent, Andres Zorn, and Fortuny. His passion was to paint in his beloved city of Venice, from the lagoons to the docks and children at the beach. His popularity and success permitted him to travel and was fond of England and the Scottish painters he met. Tito went his own way and was not afraid to venture out to paint whatever he wished. Today his work is as valuable to collectors as in his own time.
