Simon Mundy for the Yoga Engineering

I met Simon through Wim Hof, It was the iceman himself who was amazed by this wise “ English man in Barcelona “. Wim called him straight away from his home in Holland during our interview, without hesitation. He passed me on the phone and we talked to organise and appointment. The same thing Simon did with Ramiro Calle. That is what happens with this kind of person, everything is pure action, there is no doubt or maybes, they listen, intuit and do. We are all connected as a big family a community, that’s what Yoga is. Simon is that king of person that I noticed since the first moment I arrived to Spain, he welcomed me as if he knew me for years. The way he helped me to reach his home in Barcelon;, how he treated me in his place, he feed me, he offered me his bathroom to take a shower after a long trip and he even accepted to come twice to met him first and chat before the interview and then I came back, this time with my girlfriend included. The way he treated him was the perfect definition of a Gentleman. There are many things I like about the people I have interviewed all this years. Their passion; their dedication; their focus, their professionality. So much admiration for this wise scientists, philosophers and authors. But probably my favourite thing is the warmth and kind sensation of feeling welcome, specially the ones that have opened their offices and their homes to me. I am extremely grateful for this and I have to say that those have been also my favourite interviews. It has nothing to do with the quality of the interview in itself , because all of them have been brilliant , but with the ones that I have had the luck to “break “ into their private spaces, the interview happened to go to another level. You just do not see a scientist with a humble and wise approach to the human nature, but you can feel the human nature in itself expressing humbleness with the touch of science, you can appreciate it in their, not that common expressions, the titles of the books on the shelves; their pictures and professional titles on the walls or finding out about their relatives professions and the conversations I had the chance to had with them. Is also very interesting to see how fascinated they are with art. It can be cinema, music, drawings or writing. Their exquisite taste with decoration in their houses also tells me a lot of the way they are. Simon’s place is stunning, with incredible views and with such a beautiful energy in every single corner of every room. The same thing that himself, Simon overflows with beautiful energy, wise words and has so much to share with the world. That’s why he has written several books , some of them next to the great Ramiro Calle. His new book is called “ Yoga Beyond the thinking mind “, where he brings a very personal perspective of Buddhism and the Dharma, the Mind, Consciousness and other extremely interesting topics. I hope you enjoy this interview as I do enjoy talking to him every single time. Full documentary coming soon The Yoga engineering - Yoga is not hippie anymore More of his interview at
