Developing XRugby: The Tower of Power

What does it develop? The Tower of Power is the standard body position used in all contact situations (tackle, scrum, ruck). How does it work? - Player practice the tower of power initially whilst standing (can be practice using stuck in the mud). - Players progress to getting in the tower of power on their hands and feet and develop to doing this on a ball. - Players maintain position whilst moving between balls, or whilst slowly changing direction. Things to consider? - Ensure players do not hold these positions for too long. - Always put focus on correct technique. - Incorperate into games to maximse practice. - This is a great opportunity for peer coaching and feedback. - Ensure all players get to practice these skills
