In early 2023, firefighters were called to a ’Tesla on fire while charging’ & arrived to find ’smoke’ coming from the EV, leading them to think they were dealing with a lithium-ion battery fire. The explanation of WHY ’smoke’ was showing is actually a lot simpler & happens quite a lot.
