This emaciated seal is entangled in a tight bundle of commercial fishing line. Her ability to forage was severely restricted, leaving her dangerously thin and weak. With the entanglement removed, she’s free to return to the ocean, where she can finally find herself a big lunch and hunt for food. It’s always special to watch our rescues as they waddle back to the sea. Cape Fur Seals are resilient, and this seal cow will regain her strength soon.
