Dhanasri Thillana - Composition of Swathi Thirunal - Harshitha Venkatesh

Thillana are the concluding item in any Bharathanatyam Margam presentation. It is purely a Nritta based item which involves pure dance movements with complex rhythmic patterns and arudhis. This Thillana is a very special thillana for all dancers as the Pallavi line describes about a girl dancing ’ Naach rahe gori Thaam thith thai, thai thith thai thirakathom’. The lyrical passage in this thillana is in praise of Lord Padmanabha requesting him to take away our sins and sorrows and bless us with happiness.
