This show was SO close to being PERFECT. SPOILERS ahead... IDK about ya’ll but I’m pretty disappointed with the end. After ALL they went through, after all the struggle Jang Bong Hwan had with his identity and finally deciding it was ok to love the King, another guy, they don’t even get to be together in the end?! And for the King to not even know that the person he ACTUALLY fell in love with isn’t there anymore... T_T Honestly I would have preferred the typical ending where they kill one of them off or he got sent back to the future and will bump into the reincarnated version of the King. At least that way they’d have stayed together T_T So screw that, I’m going to pretend he stayed in the past and that So-Yong is actually gone and I get my happily ever after.
