Strongman Selfie challenge during the Inver Stone lifting display at 2019 Donald Dinnie Games

During the 2019 Donald Dinnie Day Games, The Gathering III at Potarch Bridge in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Strongmen Jamie Gorrian and Martin Jancsics gave a display of lifting the historic Inver Stone, which weighs 121.6 kg (268 pounds). Martin was then challenged to take a Strongman Selfie while balancing this stone on his shoulder. The Inver Stone is a Clach cuid fir, Gaelic for “manhood stones“, which were used for centuries as tests of strength in Scotland. Often a young man was welcomed into manhood when he was able to lift his clan’s testing stone to waist height.
