21:9 Polyrhythm in Oscilloscope

This time even the aspect ratio is “21:9“*, which you may have already noticed - no different from 7:3. The Lissajous pattern at 0:50 tells the story. Despite being slightly reframed in Davinci Resolve, the pattern’s aspect ratio is indeed defined by the tracks’ volumes A & B: x = A * sin(at Φ) //Left and louder, where a = 21 y = B * sin(bt) //Right and quieter, where b = 9 This is made with VCV Rack 2 and Oscilloscope. For a better listening experience, I applied a high shelf cut of 5dB to frequency over 5kHz and reverb. * “21:9“ is a marketing term for the 64:27 aspect ratio - an extension of the existing 4:3 for SDTV and 16:9 for HDTV, as it is the third power of 4:3.
