I’ve thought a lot about how to describe my music. I haven’t come up with one. How do you describe opera or jazz? That’s hard too. You just listen to it and you know if it’s your thing or not. It’s the same with generative electronics, but I’ll try. First of all, this kind of music consists of sounds that are difficult to find in the real world - these sounds are created by the author. Then he gives the computer this set of sounds assigns a set of effects and specifies what can be done with all this and within what limits. And then it’s up to the computer and random algorithms.
