The SV-98M is an improved variant of the Russian-made SV-98 bolt-action sniper rifle developed and designed developed in the early 2000s by Vladimir Stronskiy. The SV-98M was presented for the first time to the public in the new demonstration center of Kalashnikov Group during the International Military Technical Forum which was held in Russia in September 2016.
