In Judaism, one of the most fundamental virtues upon which the world stands is the measure of truth (Pirkei Avot 1:18). Many teachings emphasize the requirement to speak the truth. We seal the “Shema Yisrael“ with the word “truth.“ Jerusalem, our holy city, was destroyed “because people ceased speaking the truth“ (Babylonian Talmud, Shabbat 119). We are a reliable people, people who value truth. Unfortunately, the cruel enemy we are currently facing does not value truth and uses lies as a means of warfare against us. However, our way is to believe in truth and act based on truth. “Truth stands, and falsehood does not stand“ (Babylonian Talmud, Shabbat 104). Lies are temporary, and truth is always destined to emerge and be revealed. In the following video, you will see the truth revealed - the significant evidence that Hamas uses civilians as a human shield and the many lies it spreads worldwide, the tunnels hidden next to the school and hospital in Gaza, as well as the use of the hospital’s basement to hold the captives. Our enemies even went so far as to create a room inside the basement resembling a living room to shoot fictional videos and falsely portray the “good“ conditions in which the captives are held. The world needs to know not to believe a word from those capable of cruel atrocities!
