Mink Farm (1953)

Totteridge Green, London. At Nancy Hicks’ Mink Farm we see Len Lloyd cutting up meat, probably horse flesh. Nancy forces it through a mincing machine. Quite a gruesome scene! We then see various shots of Nancy making her way around her mink farm, putting a large spoonful of food into the cage of each mink. Several shots of the poor minks charging up and down their narrow cages. They are all kept in separate cages because they tend to fight with each other. C/Us of minks eating. High angle view of the 400 mink cages on the farm. Note: cameraman’s notes on file. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
