Nick Vidal, Eric Vidal Straight out of Bakersfield, California; The Baka Boyz have become an enormous part of the Hip Hop world. Brothers Eric and Nick Vidal began their radio career after meeting Dave Morales (then on Power 106) in 1993, getting them a spot on Los Angeles’ most prestigious radio station of the time. As Power 106 was a pure house music station, the Baka Boyz began to influence hip hop on the radio waves on one of the first hip hop mixshows of all time “The Friday Nite Flavaz“. They were responisble for bringing out acts to mainstream success such as Eminem, and even both were DJs for the late Notorious . During their reign at Power, they also brought DJs to fame such as Richard “Humpty“ Vission, DJ E-Man, and even Big Boy (currently has a show on Power 106.)
