Ceremony Honouring Private Kenny Vc (1916)

World War One. War heroes honoured. Location of events unknown - somewhere in Britain. Opens with C/U of two men in open carriage - Private Kenny, the hero, wearing Victoria Cross medal and man with long whiskers and admiral hat. Another man comes up to talk to them. Parade going down street. Boys in military cadet uniforms then boy scouts. Small marching band followed by long lines of British Army marching and swinging arms. Policemen on horseback bring up the rear of the parade. Good crowd shot - people of all ages, cheering, waving hats, children held up, smiles all round. Profile M/S of a man speaking with several other men standing next to him. Front view of same as he reads from a large paper. Next to him sits young man in soldier uniform - Private Kenny. Sudden cut to the orator giving scroll to Kenny. Orator holding envelope and speaking, then gives it to Kenny. Kenny stands, removes hat, seems about to speak. End of item.
