We start our South Okanagan adventure in Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada. Our first stop is Gyro beach on Osoyoos Lake. This is said to be Canada’s warmest lake in Canada’s warmest town. We then transport to the USA/ Canada border. From there we take you to a typical fruit-stand on the area, full of peaches, apples and berries. Our hottest stop was at the Desert Centre. Did you know that this region is Canada’s only desert? We walked the boardwalk and learned all about desert ecology. Then it was wine time. We chose a small family run winery. Blue Sky was a fun stop with great wine and fantastic personal service. Our last stop is a Spotted Lake. This is a mineral lake and is part of the aboriginal heritage for it’s healing properties .
