Scrooge (1951)

Scrooge is a 1951 British Christmas family fantasy drama film. It features Alastair Sim, George Cole, Hermione Baddely, Kathleen Harrison, Mervyn Johns, Michael Hordern, Ernest Thesiger, and Francis De Wolff. A film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic 1843 tale, A Christmas Carol. Ebenezer Scrooge malcontentedly shuffles through life as a cruel miserly businessman until one fateful Christmas Eve when he is visited by three spirits, sent show him how his unhappy childhood and maladaptive adult behaviour over has let him a selfish, lonely, bitter old man.
