Jung’s psychic energy (AKA libido - NOT Freud’s libido) is mental energy, an underlying force driving human behavior, thoughts, and emotion that is generally seen as purely psychological in nature (although some read Jung more metaphysically) and distinct from but also similar to many other forms of fundamental motivational forces or “vital forces“ in humans that we see observed in philosophy, the Bible, religion and psychology. This energy encompasses much more than you might think and is far more powerful than many are aware of.
And just as important is the distinction between the Pneuma/Ruach of the Bible and the pneuma/ruach; the difference between the psychic energy or spirit in the human psyche, and the Spirit in the scriptures that is something closer to the lifeblood of the entirety of the universe and New Self.
