Synthposium: Alex Pleninger [teaser]

Situated at the junction of music and technology, Synthposium is a festival featuring exhibitions, an educational program, Q&As and an extensive music program with live performances. This year’s event includes over 150 Russian and international artists, and will take place in Moscow on August 24-27. Among its participants is the musician and engineer Alex Pleninger, who is currently developing modules for the Buchla synthesizer format as a part of the Keen Association Moscow. Pleninger’s lifelong fascination with electronics and classical music education is fueled by a rejection of compromise and a relentless desire to innovate. His ideas, manifested in advanced electronic music instruments, will be featured in the upcoming documentary and at the festival itself. Pleninger will also perform live and give a talk on alternative electronic music instruments on August 24 at Moscow Film School
