BALLERINA (“Dream Ballerina“) 1950 film

Starring a 25 year-old Violette Verdy, this French film is full of great dancing, fantasy sequences of both amusing and frightening hallucinatory scenes, a story (of sorts) about a young innocent ballerina who is pursued by several men, both lascivious and romantic, (very timely today), and who decides to stick with dancing. A RED SHOES w/o a tragic ending.
