Stoke City recorded a third win in six matches on Saturday thanks to a 2-1 success over play-off chasing Preston North End. An Andrew Hughes own goal just past the hour mark had given the Potters the lead at Deepdale before substitute Milutin Osmajic levelled minutes later. Steven Schumacher’s side, who had looked the more threatening throughout the contest, didn’t let up in their attempts to claim maximum points and they were duly rewarded thanks to Luke McNally’s late effort in front of over 3,000 travelling supporters.
