DeMarcus Paul On Becoming A Professional BMX Rider | adidas TERREX

When DeMarcus Paul was younger, he decided he wanted to become a professional BMX rider. DeMarcus Paul grew up in Albany, Georgia. Despite growing up with no one who looked like him in the BMX community, he decided he wanted to pursue his passion for riding bike. And to chase his dream of becoming an X Games medalist. To be able to really dedicate himself to this dream, DeMarcus Paul moved to BMX Mecca San Diego, California in 2011. That‘s where he found a new family, as DeMarcus puts it: “The community aspect of BMX is like extremely important. When you feel like you don‘t know what direction you want to go in, follow the leader, your friend (…)“. For this community, it doesn‘t matter where you‘re from, or who you are. Join DeMarcus for a ride down memory lane and see how BMX not only gave him a platform but a community, too. Riders need shoes they can count on. Enter Five Ten’s SLEUTH bike shoe. The EVA midsole means all-day comfort on and off the bike. And thanks to the Stealth Rubber outsole and its Classic Dotty Tread, if your riding style calls for next-level pedal traction, the SLEUTH will keep your feet locked on, right where they need to be.
