SPAIN: XABIA (Javea). The old town and the church of Saint Bartholomew. Sea and Golf.

Xàbia or Jávea is a coastal town and municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta, in the province of Alicante, Valencia, Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea (Costa Blanca). Situated on the side of the Montgó Massif, behind a wide bay and sheltered between two rocky headlands, the town has become a very popular small seaside resort and market town. Half of its resident population and over two thirds of its annual visitors are foreigners. The main historical landmark is the church of Saint Bartholomew. It is located in the Plaza de la Iglesia in the heart of the Old town, and it’s a fortified religious building whose origins on the tower-apse date back to the 14th century, The building is a demonstration of the Valencian Gothic style. Around the town of Xábia/Jávea, there are luxurious golf courses and expensive villas. Music by Luke Bergs and MMB. provided by:
