Women athletes. The introductory intertitle announces that Pep is “That piquant, pert but descriptive word that describes so eloquently in one syllable the energy of modern Eve - “ L/S of four women running a hurdles race. The jumps are seen in slow motion. We then see a professional hurdler. M/S of a tug-of-war. Shots of both teams - all girls. Shot of the spectators. The “Nippies“ have an egg and spoon race. We see them set off in slow motion. Various shots of the race. We then see an obstacle race. Girls have to climb through ropes, under a piece of carpet, grab an apple from a bucket of water with their teeth, and run to the end of the course.
