Youri Egorov TV Recital, Part 2 - Prokofiev Sonata No.8

Egorov’s transparent textures and electric intensity serve his performances of 20th century music. While he did not commercially record any Prokofiev, there exists a later concert performance of this particular work. Again the restricted range of the TV broadcast does not serve Egorov’s naturally full-bodied tone, yet the clarity and intensity of his playing are readily communicated.
