Biden forgets Obamas name and mixes up Russia and China

Joe Biden kept it brief when he spoke at the National Governors Association Dinner in Utah on Saturday, but that just meant more concentrated after-dinner gaffes. Biden’s brief address saw him make a joke about his (distant) Irish heritage, and stress the importance of unity among the leaders of the 50 states. ‘And, you know, it seems to me that – I’ll conclude by saying, I – I’ve spent a lot of time with Xi Jinping,’ he began to end with. As the ending of his address, now inexplicably focused on China, dragged on, he appeared to forget Barack Obama’s name, but he managed to cover it up in a seamless way. ‘And I was – when I was vice president, President – my – my president was…’ And what was it that his president wanted? ‘My president was – told me that he wanted me to get to know Xi Jinping because it was clear he was going to be the head of Russia.’ That was Joe Biden, speaking on behalf of a different reality. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
