SOUTH KOREA-UAE | UAE president attends welcome ceremony hosted by South Korean counterpart

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a welcome ceremony in Seoul on Wednesday (May 29) hosted by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. In the welcome ceremony, the aerobatic team of South Korea’s air force, Black Eagles, performed a flight display in central Seoul. Sheikh Mohammed arrived in Seoul on Tuesday (May 28), where his plane was met by an honorary escort of four fighter jets before he landed for his first state visit to Asia’s fourth-biggest economy. Defence industry cooperation, business and investment, and energy initiatives are on the agenda for a summit scheduled for Wednesday with President Yoon, which has become one of the world’s biggest arms exporters.
