On the route ahead of us, a broken down train has just been towed away and another train has scraped the overhead wires. We are the first Intercity that leaves from Amersfoort to the north. In Zwolle we combine (34:56) with another train set and then continue on. After Meppel (51:15) a report comes in from the train traffic controller and we have to drive carefully near Hoogeveen. It is NS policy not to mention the reason in this case, parts of the conversation with the train traffic controller are therefore censored. Fernando films our train at Assen (1:19:08). Then there is a herd of roe deer on the rail at 1:21:03. Due to their color, it is difficult to see on the film especially on small screens.
