Jimmy Raney - Live In Tokyo (1976).

’’Live in Tokyo’’ is a live album by guitarist Jimmy Raney which was recorded in Japan in 1976 and released on the Xanadu label. This album features the great guitarist Jimmy Raney in a trio with bassist Sam Jones and drummer Leroy Williams, all regulars for the Xanadu label in the 1970s. The boppish performances (which Raney considers among his very best) are subtle with lots of interplay between the players. High points include “Anthropology,“ “A Burning Cherokee,“ and Raney’s unaccompanied playing on “Stella By Starlight.“(AllMusic)... “...Barry Harris,Sam Jones, and Leroy Williams played the first set of each concert during the April,1976 Silver Session Tour of Japan.
