A mile long freight train passes through Gheringhap Loop, its two high horsepower diesel locomotives easily handling the load of mostly lightly loaded wagons. Today’s service marks the transfer of the BlueScope steel contracts from Pacific National to SCT and QUBE, demonstrated by the addition of 40 steel wagons to the loading. No doubt the yellow “Butterbox“ containers and RKYY out-of-gauge tilt wagons will soon be repainted into a new livery to remove their Pacific National heritage.
