Philae Lander Seen Post-Touchown By Rosetta? + New Descent Pics | Video

ESA’s Rosetta probe, orbiting 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, deployed its Philae lander on Nov. 12th, 2014, but it bounced across the comet’s face. Studying images beamed back, the mission team has found the dust cloud from the lander’s first touchdown along with Philae’s likely position at the time. And new imagery taken by Philae’s ROLIS (Rosetta Lander Imaging System), descending from to 9m (221 to 30 feet), has been obtained.
