Cyclone Tej hits the Arabian Peninsula. The world is praying for Yemen

On October 23, tropical cyclone Tej made landfall on the Yemeni coast. The cyclone made landfall in Al Mahrah Governorate, causing rain and flooding in the eastern half of the country and western parts of Oman. It was the first cyclone to make landfall in Yemen since Cyclone Megh in 2015. It is expected that up to 500 mm of rain may fall due to the cyclone in some places. This is five times the region’s annual rainfall. #yemen #oman #cyclone #news #weather
