RwandAir Picks Ghana As Hub For Flights To The United States

Rwanda’s national carrier has announced they will use Ghana as hub to fly to the United States starting December. The airline revealed, it has already secured authorization from the Ghanaian government to use Kotoka International Airport as the Last Point of Departure into the United States. Also, application to the US Department of Transportation for an amendment to its current US Foreign Air Carrier Permit is ongoing, and the airline plans to launch scheduled services to New York from Kigali, through Accra in Ghana. At Accra, RwandAir will exercise fifth freedom traffic rights as provided for in the bilateral air service agreements of both US and Ghana with Rwanda.
