Tribute to feminine beauty, Zauli is inspired by two masks: blur and djela. His other name, “Djela Lou Zaouli“ means “Zaouli, Djela’s daughter“. The Zaouli combines sculpture in the same show (the mask), weaving (the costume), the music (the orchestra, the song) and the dance. The Zaouli mask is divided into seven facial masks each translating a specific legend. Holders and practitioners are sculptors, craftsmen, instrumentalists, singers, dancers and notables (guarantors of customs and traditions of the community). Zaouli has an educational, playful and aesthetic function. history of rwanda, rwanda (country),danse floklorike du burundi, int
