Adventurous Funky Bass Grooves

Funky good times with some fun melodic grooves, staccato lobster claw plucking, double stops, harmonics, neck bends and more! I’m playing my Cortex bass strung up with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys, and used a Seamoon FX ‘Funk Machine’ pedal for the envelope sounds, as well as a Boss OC-2 octaver, Darkglass Hyper Luminal compressor and a Rodenberg 707B clean booster. Pickups are Nordstrand Dual Coils. All sounds come real-time from the bass, amp and pedals, no digital post processing, plugins or editing, what you see is what you get! The signal was recorded with the DI of my Eich T-1000 amp into a Focusrite Scarlett into Cubase, drums were made with Addictive Drums and Korg percussion pads, mastering was done with Ozone. I really had a blast writing this piece and shooting the video, took me weeks to nail this in one take, hope you’ll enjoy!
