Heehee new lore time :) This one was a lot of fun to work on, and since I decided to do minimal details, it didn’t take me too long! I’ve wanted an excuse to have Birchspeckle show up in an actual story video so I’m glad she’s here now :) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Original Audio: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Tiny bit of backstory :) Skipping a bit ahead in the story from the events of The Omen, Mudpaw has been officially apprenticed under Owlpounce for a few weeks at this point. After being introduced to the clan’s enigmatic second healer, Birchspeckle, he learns that her mysterious powers and connection to the dead affords her knowledge beyond any other cat’s imagination. He decides to go to her secluded den in hopes of getting some insight from her regarding his origins. He knows his clanmates treat him differently for a reason, and he wants to know the truth. When he dares to ask her what she knows, Birchspeckle reveals that she not only knows where he came from, but she also knows the secret he has desperately been trying to hide: that he was responsible for his previous mentor’s death. She reassures him that she has not told anyone else, and that she will keep his secret for now, but will be keeping an eye on him. Shaken by the knowledge of his origin and his secret being known, Mudpaw leaves Birchspeckle’s den with a heavy and anxious heart.
